This is how it all started back in 2007. Seven seasoned bankers and tech experts decided to start a challenger bank but couldn’t find a standard core banking platform that met their high standards.
They wanted a state-of-the-art solution that covered the complete end-to-end process for lending operations in only one system. So, Vilja started to design and develop at high speed. The focus was on high automation and flexibility – to manage risk, provide the highest efficiency, minimize human errors and to offer a superior end-customer experience.
After only six months the game-changing core banking solution free of legacy was up and running with SevenDay. The platform, called Greenback, is the first but not the last core banking platform that we built.
In the beginning, the system handled loans, but soon deposit accounts were added, and a couple of years later BNPL solutions were included – everything delivered with speed and efficiency. And to meet the customers´ rapidly changing behaviors and expectations, the platform is still continuously being developed and enhanced with new features and functions.
Today, Sevenday Bank is one of the bigger actors on the Swedish market. In 2017 they were acquired by BNP Paribas Personal Finance. A 100% subsidiary of the BNP Paribas Group, BNP Paribas Personal Finance gathers more than 20 000 employees and operates in some thirty countries.
This is what they say
“Since 2007 we have worked closely with Vilja to build our business to where we are today with more than 100 000 customers with consumer loans, credits and deposits. We need a modern and agile supplier to support our business by quickly responding to our customers’ ever-changing needs and demands.”
